There’s nothing more refreshing during the hot summer months than a cold, sweet smoothie. As temperatures continue to rise, we want to help you stay cool. Here are some of our employees’ favorite smoothie recipes to keep you hydrated, healthy, and recharged this summer.

Berry Brain Break Blast
Why I love it: Not only does this drink satisfy my sweet tooth, but it also gives me a boost of energy on hot summer days. Whenever I begin to feel burnt out of creativity, I whip up this refreshing source of nutrients and I am feeling good as new!
[ ] – 1 ½ cups of frozen mixed berries
[ ] – ½ cup of yogurt (any kind works)
[ ] – A splash of coconut milk (can be replaced with oat milk, almond milk, dairy, etc.)
[ ] – 2 tablespoons of peanut butter (or any nut butter works)
[ ] – 1-2 tablespoons of chia seeds
[ ] – A scoop of vanilla protein powder (optional)
[ ] – Add ice to thicken (optional)

Summertime Berry Blues
Why I love it: This is my morning go-to. It fills me up, keeps me satisfied until lunch, and tastes delicious. The nutmeg and cinnamon give it a boost of flavor that you just can’t beat. It’s also super easy to make and is a great on-the-go breakfast option.
[ ] – 1 cup of frozen blueberries
[ ] – ½ cup of Greek nonfat, vanilla yogurt
[ ] – A splash of almond milk
[ ] – 1 teaspoon of peanut butter
[ ] – ½ teaspoon of nutmeg
[ ] – ½ teaspoon of cinnamon

Beat the Morning Rush Smoothie
Why I love it: I really like to use Beach Body’s Shakeology as a base for all of my smoothies. If you don’t have that on hand, protein powder works too. My mornings are busy so I love the convenience of throwing a few ingredients in my Nutribullet and heading out the door knowing I’m starting my day with a healthy breakfast.
[ ] – 1 scoop or packet of vanilla Shakeology
[ ] – 1 cup of almond or oak milk
[ ] – 1 cup of fresh spinach
[ ] – ½ cup of frozen berries (I like blueberry)
[ ] – 1 scoop of peanut or almond butter
[ ] – A few ice cubes

Banana Chocolate Protein Smoothie
Why I love it: The combination of chocolate and banana tastes amazing. It is a great option for breakfast, lunch, or after a workout and it provides a healthy dose of nutrients while soothing your taste buds.

[ ] – 4 tablespoons chocolate whey protein or Shakeology
[ ] – ¾ cup of vanilla almond milk
[ ] – 3 or 4 ice cubes
[ ] – ½ teaspoon of honey

Why I love it: I love the kick that fresh-cut ginger adds to the smoothie. It’s a great breakfast option or afternoon snack.

[ ] – ¾ cup of vanilla almond milk
[ ] – ½ tablespoon of powder tourmeric
[ ] – 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger (or to taste)
