Stephanie Kind is a high school English/Language Arts teacher at Crook County High School in Prineville, Oregon, where she works with students in grades 9–12. Since beginning her teaching career in 1995, she has served in public schools across Alaska, Indiana, and Oregon—including 16 years working with at-risk youth.
Before entering education, Stephanie was a sports reporter for the Anchorage Daily News in Alaska. Outside the classroom, she coached cross-country skiing for 13 years and was an avid competitor herself. Today, she continues to embrace the outdoors—spending winters on skis and summers hiking, kayaking, camping, mountain biking, and capturing the beauty of nature through photography. She lives in Bend, Oregon, which serves as her home base for year-round mountain adventures.
