Melanie is a first grade teacher working in the Allentown, PA School District. In addition, she teaches PLS Classes, which gives her the ability to work and learn from teachers across the US and around the world. Melanie has many different hobbies, interests, and passions. She teaches English to students in other countries via remote learning. She is an elected officer for the Allentown Education Association and aspires to be the president of that organization someday. An animal lover, Melanie is heavily involved with animal rescue, fostering both hospice dogs as well as dogs who are healthy and able to find their own forever homes. She also volunteers as a transporter when needed. Melanie is a fiber and mixed media artist. She has had dolls published in magazines, a coat she made featured in an art show, and has won best in show for a needle felted lion she created.
