Lisa is an English professor at the undergraduate level and teaches a variety of courses in writing composition. She is also an avid runner, with half marathons being her preferred distance.
I was lucky and had some wonderful teachers from a young age. I was inspired by their enthusiasm and dedication to their students.
I believe that PLS Classes provide students with classroom applicable strategies that they can use right away. I find this especially true for Differentiated Instruction for Today’s Classroom™ where students learn a toolbox of strategies that they implement both during and after the course. They may not use every strategy now, but each year brings new students, new needs, and a renewed focus at modifying instruction to best reach learners. Having that toolbox handy helps teachers pull out what they need when they need it.
