Carolyn is a seasoned reading specialist and passionate educator with a deep commitment to inclusive instruction. With over 14,000 PLS participants taught, she brings decades of classroom and facilitation experience to every course. Carolyn holds a Master’s in Education with additional certification in reading supervision from Lehigh University, and currently serves as a reading specialist in a Pennsylvania primary school.
Her expertise centers on helping teachers design instruction that supports every learner—particularly those with literacy, numeracy, behavioral, and attention challenges. Carolyn’s dynamic approach combines real-world strategies with universal design principles, making her classes both practical and transformative.
She has been recognized at the state level for developing staff training in critical thinking models and continues to champion educational innovation—whether organizing community events with beloved authors or advancing her own studies in dyslexia.
