At the heart of everything we do at PLS Classes is our mission to support and strengthen educators. During this time, we feel it is especially important to be a helpful resource for you. As you settle into the new distance learning environment we’re sure you’ve met some challenges along the way. And that’s ok! In an effort to support you and your students’ learning at home, we recently produced a short educational video series entitled “Distance Learning: Strategies for Supporting Teachers, Students, and Each Other” which you can access for free.
This five episode series is led by our friend Dr. Rhianna C. Rogers who is an expert on cultural and ethnic studies, intercultural competencies and diversity education, cultural mediation, and virtual exchange programmatic development and implementation. She also happens to have years of experience teaching, connecting to, and engaging with students in an online environment.
Each episode is around 15 – 20 minutes. In the videos, Dr. Rogers covers:
- Introduction Education Technology: Effective Tools in Online Teaching & Learning
- Best Practices in Online Teaching & Learning
- Creating an Engaging Online Course Experience
- Developing Healthy Work Habits and Classroom Management from Home
- Juggling Personal, Professional and Instructional Responsibilities
Watch the Videos!
We are so grateful to Dr. Rogers for sharing her insight and experience in an effort to help educators excel in this new learning environment. Please feel free to share these videos with your district and colleagues.
Remember, we are here for you! Let us know how we can support you. We’re all in this together.
