We are delighted to share that one of our very own PLS instructors, Brenda Watkins, has joined our partner, Steve Barkley, in a recent Barkley Ponders Out Loud Podcast to talk about the importance of developing students’ executive functioning skills.

In the guest podcast for teachers, “Building Students’ Executive Function Skills,” Watkins defines executive functioning skills and shares examples of how these skills can benefit students starting at the elementary grade level.

She shares the connection between executive functioning and social-emotional learning, along with a brief description of the new course which we are thrilled to offer starting this Fall in both a remote and online learning format through our college partners, Mercyhurst University and Wilkes University. Brenda will be teaching this course through Wilkes University in 2022.
