With a new school year comes a whole slew of new things – new schedules, teachers, classrooms, rules, etc. It can be overwhelming and difficult for students, especially the younger ones, to get accustomed to their new routines so as a teacher, it is important to create a comfortable environment for them to learn, grow, and interact with one another. To help ease your students back into the classroom, we created two FREE printables that we hope helps make the transition a bit smoother.

Classroom Scavenger Hunt
Best for grades: K-2

Imagine walking into a completely new place that you have never been, filled with unfamiliar faces and things. While it may be easy for some students to transition into a new space, it can create discomfort and fear for others.

To help alleviate this feeling of uncertainty in young students, we created this Classroom Scavenger Hunt activity. This activity allows students to familiarize themselves with their new environment, making them feel more comfortable in their new space.
