St. Patrick’s Day is only a few weeks away!

Elementary students are particularly excited about the holiday because they can wear green to school, eat and drink green treats, read stories about the legend of the leprechaun, and participate in fun activities. To help you make this St. Patrick’s Day a golden one, we’re providing you with a free leprechaun trap STEM printable for your students.

The acronym STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. According to the National Science Teaching Association (NSTA), STEM education makes learning “real” and gives students opportunities to see the connection between the content they are studying and the application of that content in authentic and relevant ways.

The objective of this printable is to use the elements of STEM to build a functioning leprechaun trap in hopes of catching that sneaky leprechaun.

This printable can be used in the classroom or as an at-home assignment. It is intended for younger students so adult assistance may be needed to help read instructions and build the trap.
